Our fly-fishing associates are: • Passionate about fly fishing • Greet every person with a smile. • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. • Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards. • Comply with sales standards and meet or exceed sales goals. • Upsell products to enhance the customer shopping experience. • Maintain inventory and display integrity by monitoring item quantities, stocking items, and managing back stock. • Protect assets, including complying with security measures and prioritizing shrink reduction. Requirements First consideration will be given to those who also have demonstrable fly-fishing experience and understand the gear associated with that activity. Even more consideration will be given to experienced fly-fishing candidates who have demonstrable outdoor hiking, trekking, and camping experience and understand the gear associated with those activities. • Strong fly-fishing knowledge • Demonstrate product knowledge. • Retail Sales experience preferred. • Fly tying experience preferred. • Perform all cash register/point-of-sale functions accurately and efficiently, such as: sales, returns, exchanges, credit card sales, lay-a-ways, special orders, transfer in/out, etc. • Provides pricing information by answering questions. • Strong basic math skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask. • Resolves customer issues and answers questions. • Superior communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and operational skills • Contributes to team. • Attend all staff meetings and accessory product clinics. • Able to stand for extended periods of time. • Able to lift to 50lbs. Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs.
