Artisan Donut Maker

OAKLEY DONUTS & COFFEE is looking for a full and part-time Artisan Donut Maker(s) to join our team. We will provide training in all necessary areas, so that you can feel confident in working in all stations. At OAKLEY DONUTS & COFFEE we take pride in making delicious donuts from scratch. We need dependable, honest, and hardworking individuals to pass our secret recipes on to, as you become our newest Donut Artisan's!

You will learn to create a variety of high-demand donuts, from dough preparation to frying, decorating, and displaying. If you are creative, initiative-taking, and a night owl, this position is perfect for you.

We are seeking hardworking individuals who are not afraid to work overnight. We want Individuals who work well with others and can be relied upon. Following recipes and instructions is important to maintain the quality of our products. The job requires late night 8-hour shifts that are from 12 am to 8 am (hours are subject to shift based on needs-as early as 10 pm). We are open Monday through Sunday, and weekend availability is required.

Physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods are expected.

Continually seek knowledge and skills through training and education for self and other team members.

Artisan Donut Maker Job Description:

- Prepare Dough and Batters according to Oakley Donuts & Coffee recipes

- Set up the fryer station to fry batters and doughs

- Make jams, icings, frostings, and fillings

- Prepare, fry, and finish donut items according to standard procedures

- Understand basic bakery terms and processes such as fermentation, bench time, proofing, and effects of temperature variations on bakery items.

- Assist in ordering store ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels

- Possess knowledge of product descriptions and ingredients

- Work in a safe store environment, with potential exposure to hot or cold conditions

- Perform tasks such as grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching

- Ensure consistent and quality products for customer satisfaction

- Maintain a clean and organized decorating workstation

- Maintain a clean and clutter-free decorating workstation

- Perform other assigned responsibilities

- Communicate with the Manager regarding equipment, product, production, and concerns

Preferred qualifications:

Bakery experience is helpful but not required.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year experience in the food service industry

Food Handler's Permit
