Project Overview/Impact on the Organization

As our Senior Tax Associate, you will work closely with the Tax Managers within the Tax Department and specifically focus on managing our various tax preparation engagements with third-party preparers, as well as manage the preparation of corporate and partnership returns.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with outsourced firms to prepare thousands of K1 packages and associated annual reporting.
• Review federal and state tax returns prepared by third party preparers
• Manage quarterly fixed asset depreciation processes in Sage Fixed Asset Software and Yardi Accounting Software for existing and new assets
• Help manage exposure to FATCA legislation and Foreign investor reporting, including preparation of Forms 8804/8805 and Forms 1042 for various entities
• Prepare quarterly and other periodic tax withholding and estimated payments for the partnerships and corporations within the various fund structures
• Calculate taxable income and tax liability estimates for disposed assets

Must-Have Skillsets

• Familiarity with SAGE Fixed Asset Software, Yardi Asset Management Software, Go systems, or similar products 
• Experience in tax depreciation and calculations related to the real estate industry
• 2 years of Big 4 experience
