Job Description

This position is responsible for setting up and operating machine.

Essential Functions:

  • Teardown, setup and Operate Hydromat (Swiss Turning Machine).
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine part specifications.
  • Perform major tool changes, offsets and troubleshoot machine.
  • Install collets, pushers, gears, cams, tool holders, and other tool required to machine parts per print specifications.
  • Use calipers and other measurement devices to inspect and document critical dimensions of parts.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area following 5s principles.

  • Effectively communicates with Tool Room to obtain support as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 yrs. experience setting up and operating a Hydromat
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate a plus)
  • Knowledge of screw machine operations and metal properties

Skills

  • Basic math skills
  • Blueprint reading
  • Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively
