Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and testing products and monitoring operations to ensure they meet production standards. The Quality Inspector will be reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet customer and company requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned, CMM, routine visual inspections, and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products
- Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications
- Program and perform CAD inspection programs such as PC DIMIS, PolyWorks, or Verisurf
- Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process
- Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate quality of full product batch prior to delivery to clients or customers
- Performs final quality audits, creates end item data packs, and certifies with CofC creation
- Compares results of inspections and tests to company’s quality standards, reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps
- Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by line mechanics, supervisors, and other production staff. Maintains quality records as needed
- Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Ensure documentation reflects current processes through quality and operational audits
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience as Quality Inspector or relevant role
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Knowledge of engineer drawings
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems. E.g., CMM and tensile tester
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Understanding of ISO Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO9001 etc.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Share Point
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, technical school education, or equivalent required; mathematics emphasis preferred
- At least 2-years' work-related experience
- Experience in Aerospace QC in an AS9100 QMS is preferred
- Experience with ERP systems preferred (Epicor preferred)

- Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Ability to work independently, taking direction and creating policies and processes
